Dorothy Jean Cobb Pannell, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the North MS Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1934 in Lee County to Gilbert and Thelma Lipford Cobb. She loved her church family at Oak Valley Christian Church and lovingly took on the task of preparing communion, arranging flowers and playing the piano. She worked many years for Rockwell, Choctaw Inc. in Memphis and Arvin Industries. She enjoyed cooking, creating ceramics, decorating cakes and playing the piano. Her greatest job was her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be 3 PM Sunday at Oak Valley Christian Church with Bro. Danny Horton officiating. Visitation will be 2 - 3 Sunday.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Billy Pannell of Tupelo; her two children, Angie Kenney (Jimmy) of Tupelo and Kevin Pannell (Tatyana) of Blue Springs; three grandchildren, Jake Kenney, Katherine Kenney and Misha Pannell; her great-grandchildren, Alison Kenney, Brooks Kenney and Jackson Kenney.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Hugh Cobb and Joe Cobb; and a sister, Nora Heatherly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Valley Christian Church.
