Tupelo - James Harold "Jimmy" Sisk, 81, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Nettleton on May 12, 1932 to Hoyt and Myrtie Sisk. He worked for over 37 years for Chicago Bridge and Iron Company where he was a welder and retired as a welding supervisor. He was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing dominoes, gardening and working in his yard. He was a faithful husband and loving father and grandfather.
Services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jimmy Bates and Minister Wendell Fikes officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mildred Sisk of Tupelo; two daughters, Debbie Fischer (Chip) of Atlanta, GA and Sharon "Shay" Luna (Mark) of Birmingham, AL; one son, Allen Sisk (Mitzi) of Cullman, AL. 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Louise Cleveland, Gladys Sisk and Julia Cooley; three brothers, Bill Sisk, George Sisk and Charles Sisk.
Pallbearers will be Shane Sisk, Paul Waddle, Billy Pender, Patrick Moseley, Toby Bearden and Joe Hester. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat Clemons, Dave Hipps, Paul Riley and Tightwad.
Visitation will be 1 - 2:30 Wednesday.
