OkolonaJames Ray Posey, 75, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Amory. An Okolona native and lifelong resident, he was born July 3, 1939 to James Wallace and Ellen Spencer Posy. He worked for Unique furniture as a shipping supervisor, retiring after 22 years. He was a member of Carnation Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, attending auctions and flea markets.

Services will be 2 pm Thursday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Burial will be in East Chickasaw Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carinne Posey of Okolona; his children, James W. Posey (Mary Ann)of Amory and Lisa Gail Posey Robinson of Dayton, TN; 2 step-sons, Peanut Gray (Eva Ann) of Okolona and Buster Gray (Dawn M.) of Amory; a sister, Maxine Perry (Leonard) of Mooreville; 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Cook; 2 brothers, Robert and Cecil; and 2 sisters, O'nice Earnest and Verda Osburn.

Pallbearers will be Larry Eddington, Peanut Gray, Ben Gray, Buster Gray, Jonathan Gray, and Daniel Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Gar Eddington, Michael Eddington, David Eddington, Gerald Eddington and Jamie Posey.
