Shannon--James Elgin House, 769, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born Oct 2, 1934, to Joe and Myrtle Louise House in Montgomery, Ala. He was a Baptist and a retired carpenter. he enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, and playing with hiss grandchildren.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday at lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steven Denton officiating. Burial was in Lee Memorial Par.
Survivors include his wife, Dale Long House; five daughters, Ann Dangler, Betty Godard, Cindy Holbrook, Tina Roberson and Kayla Wilson; four sons, James Earl House, Terry House, Randy Kynard and James House; five sisters, Mary Jo Losse, Christine Anderson, Ruby Teel, Edna Jean HHouse and Pat Sims; one brother, Jerry House; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and one sister, Myrtle Olivia Lawrence.
Pallbearers were James House, Lamar Long, Brandon Edwards, David Long, Curtis Roberson and Tommy Long.
