Irene Brooks Pannell, 101, died Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home. She was born February 10, 1918 in Woodland to George and Anna Belle Brooks. She was a seamstress at Delta Trousers for many years and a member of Carnation Baptist Church. She loved to fish and garden and years ago, go to church picnics.

Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 – 11. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Harold Pannell (Barbara) of Hendersonville, TN, Charles Pannell of Okolona and Cecil Pannell (Norma) of Saltillo; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Pannell and a brother, Fred Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home.
