Okolona--Helen Louise Phillips, 82, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Amory. She was born August 2, 1928, to Robert and Cordie Lamb. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed cooking, tending to her flowers, gardening, and taking care of her dogs. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a Baptist.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Faye Harvey of Amory, Rita Lynette Sharp and Brenda Ann Melton both of Okolona; one son, Jessie William Edwards of Booneville; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her close friend, Robert "Buck" Causey; five sisters and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Kimble, Dot Kimble, Marvin Lamb, T.J. Taylor, Larry Mask and Scott Edwards.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
