Grace Wood, 85, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at the North MS Medical Center after a brief illness.  She was born May 1, 1933, the daughter of Groff and Willie Young and was raised in Water Valley.  Grace was a lovely woman, inside and out.  She worked as a hairstylist before spending almost 30 years at McRae's in Tupelo as a cosmetician.  She loved life and enjoyed the beauty of the flowers she grew and her vegetable garden.  Grace also was an avid reader and talented seamstress.  She was the widow of Kenneth Wood who passed away Dec. 17, 2007.

Services will be 12 Noon on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bert Harper officiating.  Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.  Visitation will be 5-7 Wednesday and 1 hour before services on Thursday.  Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Grace is survived by 2 daughters, Dianne Ledbetter (David)of Saltillo and Kim Killough (Jimmy) of Shannon; 2 sons, Steve Wood of Guntown and Bill Brunson (Diane) of St. Peters, MO; 12 grandchildren, Kenneth Vannice, Crystal Parham (Jonathan), Karla Ledbetter, Brookes Beasley, Jason Ledbetter (Toni), Laila Grace Ledbetter, Chase Pankey, Ryan Killough (MacKenzie), Ben Killough (Katelyn), Caroline Killough, Angeles Lopez, and Gracie Killough; 3 foster grandchildren, Eli Shope, Lance Abrams, and Kori Abrams; 5 great-grandchildren, Aakyah, Jackson, Ozzy, Aidan, and Lakyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a daughter, Paula Wood, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Killough, Ben Killough, Jason Ledbetter, Chase Pankey, Ronnie Herndon and Malcolm Ashcraft.

Memorials may be made to the Tupelo Autistic Center.  Friends and family are encouraged to leave expressions of sympathy on this guest book.
