Obituary

Mattie Grace Bailey, 82, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. She was born August 16, 1941, to Clovis and Edna Mae Allred. She was a sewing machine operator for Action and Hunter – Sadler for many years until retiring. She worked part time after retirement for Prime Designs. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church but had attended Auburn Baptist and Brewer Baptist in the past. She enjoyed gardening, reading and watching westerns on tv. She loved spending time with her family and especially being able to watch her grandchildren.

Services will be 1 PM Saturday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Stacks officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Mark Bailey (Beverly) of Guntown, Wendy White (Dean) of Saltillo and Lonnie Bailey (Kristen) of Booneville; her step-sons, Joe Bailey (Sonya) of Pontotoc, Mike Bailey of Pontotoc and James Bailey (Tammy) of Saltillo; her grandchildren, Jacob Smith (Tiffany), Josh Bailey (Teresa), Jenna Ausborne (T.C.), Dylan Gaskin (Erica), Haley Williams, Will Bailey, Eli Bailey, Emily Bailey and John Luke Bailey; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Dobbs of Fulton and Nancy Graham (Eddie) of Mantachie; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Boyce Bailey; two brothers, George Allred and James Allred; one sister, Margaret Goff.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be 11 – 1 Saturday
