Gladys Anderson, 99, passed away Saturday February 15, 2025 at the North MS Medical Center Hospice. She was born July 9, 1925 in the Pontocola Community to Victor and Bertha Bryant Buskirk. She worked during World War II at the ammunition plant and was an excellent homemaker. She was a Baptist by faith and a member of a Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a magnificent cook and an accomplished seamstress. She loved her family and helped raise her step-grandchildren, whom she adored, while living in Albuquerque.
Services will be 2 PM Saturday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Scotty Pannell officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her brother, Danny Buskirk (Jackie); her nieces and nephews, Danny Buskirk, Jr. (Kym), Candy Boozer (Kenny), Kim Felder (Bill), Tanya B. McCord (Larry), Thomas Buskirk (Sherrie), Tara Leech (Phil) and Vic Pannell (Cathy); two step-daughters, Ginger Grosjean (Davis) and Deedie Capps (David); five step-granddaughters, Melissa Aschenbrenner (Jason), Natalee Gibson (Bryan), April Hart (Grant), Leisha McCaig (Brent) and Sheila Marie Navarro (Louie); a host of great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewey Hobson (Deedy) Anderson; a brother, Tom Buskirk and a sister, Jean Buskirk Pannell.
Visitation will be 1 – 2 Saturday.
