Tupelo - Gertrude Lolah Bogardus, 88, died Saturday, January 02, 2010 at Traceway Manor. She was born September 11, 1921 in Angola, NY to Neal and Lolah Reynolds. She was a resident of Western NY until moving to Tupelo four years ago.. She was a member of Hamburg Presbyterian Church and was a longtime receptionist for the State of New York.. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved to read and work crossword puzzles. She was a devout Republican and an accomplished ballroom dancer. She enjoyed her time at Traceway and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.Memorial Services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday at Traceway Manor with Rev. Robert Godbold officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Survivors include one daughter Linda Bogardus of Plantersville; one son George Bogardus (Mary) of Saltillo; one daughter-in-law Becky Bogardus of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Chantelle Lynn Bogardus, Tamara Godbold, Heather Mallette, Matthew Lips, Rodney Bogardus and Nathan Lips; five great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Doug Bogardus; a granddaughter January Justine Lips; four sisters Margarite Gage, Viola Woltz, Myrtle Hayes and Dorothy Holmes; three brothers Ira Reynolds, Lynn Reynolds and Patrick Reynolds.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Traceway Manor.
