Obituary

TupeloFreddy Brown, 64, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at his home. He was born in Tupelo on April 1, 1949, the son of Marshall Spencer Brown and Vona Mae Presley Brown. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from Westwood High School. He was employed with Super Sagless for 20 years and was currently working at the Tupelo Furniture Market. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing tennis and softball and coaching his daughters' softball and soccer teams. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church.

Services will be 6 pm Thursday at Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Danny Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Janie Brown of Tupelo; three daughters, Laura Smith (David) of Saltillo, Tammy Martin and Lisa Brown, both of Tupelo; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Gatewood, Cody, Spencer and Chastity Floyd, Blake Martin, and Drew, Ella, and Eli Smith; 4 great-grandchildren, Raegan, Alyssa, Brayden, and Carmen; his nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Lee Clark, Johnny Haley, Trenna Brewer, Mike, David, and Jerry Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joyce Haley and Mary Clark; and a brother, J.P. Brown

Pallbearers will be Cody Floyd, Spencer Floyd, Blake Martin, Randy Phillips, Dustin Phillips, and Brandon Bell.

Visitation will be 4-6 pm Thursday at the church.
