Jewell Morgan, 92, passed peacefully from this life into life eternal surrounded by her family on Friday, May 30,2025 at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born July 17, 1932 in Saltillo to Sam and Ella Bradley Archibald. She married Phillip Morgan and they made their home in the Auburn community and she live there up until a few years ago. She was a longtime member of Auburn Baptist Church. She worked many years for Reeds Manufacturing and for Hunter Sadler (Lanier Clothes) where she retired. She love tending to her flowers and working in the yard. Her best times were spent with her family whether going out to eat or to her nephews houses for supper. She will be missed but we know she is with our Heavenly Father.
Services will be 2 PM Monday at Auburn Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Henry and Bro. Jim Yates officiating. Stephen Reed will deliver a eulogy. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the services.
she is survived by her daughter, Shelia Morgan of Tupelo; her brother-in-law, Paul Reed (Betty) of Verona; her nieces, Teresa Mitchell and Beth Johnson; her nephews, David Morgan, Dennis Morgan, Sammy Reed (Marilyn), Greg Reed (Darlene) and Phil Graves; several cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Phillip Morgan; two sisters, Sue Graves and Shirley Reed; a niece Beverly Graves Haley.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Reed, Brent Reed, Ian Reed, Stephen Reed, Rob Herring, Peyton Reed and Steve Bradley.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Greyson Reed, Griffin Reed, Grant Reed, Gatlin Reed and Ellis Reed.
The family would like to thank Sanctuary Hospice House for their love and impeccable care over the last four months.
Memorials may be made to the Sanctuary Hospice House.
Visitation will be from 1-2 Monday at the church.
