Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Rogers, 78, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the North MS Medical Center. She was born in Birmingham, AL on July 27, 1944, to William Taft and Hazel Elizabeth Newton. She worked at Itawamba Community College for many years. She was a member of The Orchard. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting and watching old movies. She enjoyed helping on the farm and tending to the animals, especially her cats. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she absolutely loved Christmas time.

A Memorial Services will be 4 PM Friday, October 28, 2022, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bryan Collier officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her two children, Lisa Overton Robinson of Tupelo and Tim Overton (Shannon) of Tupelo; one sister, Susie Newton Kenney of Juno Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Robinson, Chris Robinson, Jacob Overton, Luke Overton and Zack Overton; her mother-in-law, Margurie Rogers and a brother-in-law, Eddie Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Newton; her husband, Bill Rogers and her Father-in-law, J.C. Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society.

Visitation will be 3 – 4 Friday.
