Tupelo - Elizabeth Putt, 63, died Sunday, January 03, 2010 at her home. She was born September 20, 1946 to Johnny & Verlie Tune. She was a graduate of East Union High School. She was a member of Good News Church and a former Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed working in the yard, sewing, singing and participating in Bible Studies. She loved spending time with her family.Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Good News Church with Pastor Terry Garrett and Rev. Bob McCustion officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Survivors include her husband, Billy Putt of Tupelo; her children, Tim Putt (Patty) of Tupelo, Jon Putt (Carla) of Jackson, TN and Beth Jernigan (Jud) of Tupelo; her mother, Verlie Tune of Tupelo; her brothers and sisters, Ray Tune (Nancy) of New Albany, Lane Tune, Faye Boyette, Carlene Davis and Karen McGee (Jim) all of Tupelo; eight grandchildren, Morgan Putt, Ryan Putt, Isabella Putt, Sophie Putt, Miriam Putt, Maxwell Putt, Brooks Jernigan and Liz Jernigan; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, a brother-in-law Henry Boyette and a nephew Ricky Boyette.Pallbearers will be Jason Boyette, Chris Boyette, Austin McGee, Shane McGee, Mark Davis, Harvey Boyd, Ricky Putt and David Cady. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jalon Swann, Perry Young, Jeff Lucius, Adam Putt and Scotty Boyd.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to continue Elizabeth's efforts of sponsoring children in Honduras to ORE Creek Community Church c/o Billy Putt 103 Zillah Circle Tupelo, MS 38801.
