Verona - Elizabeth Fairchild, 63, died Sunday, April 7, 2013. She was born February 16, 1950 to Rodney and Norma Parks. She served 3 years in the United States Army as a Licensed Practical nurse, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Following her discharge from military duty, she remained active in civic organizations as a member of the VFW, the DAV and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. She was a member of South Green Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Private Family services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her son, Michael Keith Fairchild, Sr. (Melissa) of Olive Branch; her mother, Norma Kandlebinder of Arkansas; a sister, Norma Romeo; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and her close friend Talmadge Stubblefield.
