Earline Conway Gates, 83, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Shearer- Richardson Memorial Nursing Home in Okolona. She was born on September 23, 1940, to the late Qudelus Conway, Sr. and Cora B. Page Conway. She had a strong faith in God and a strong zest for life. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Earline received her education in the Nettleton School System and Fannie Carter High School. Over the years she was employed at Fortune Furniture, Rose Hill furniture, Meadows Sportswear, and Shearer Richardson Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by Earl H. Gates, her husband of 29 years. Earline was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Clara Cunningham Blanchard(Papa Grant); her infant grandson, Jordan Andrew White; Two sisters: Alice Pack(Donald) & Ruby Boyd (Robert, Sr); and two brothers: Arthur Lewis Conway and Qudelus Conway, Jr.
Earline leaves three children to cherish her precious memory: Gloria Gates White(Cleveland) of Okolona, MS; Quetta Gates Loyd(Michael) of Amory, MS, and Earl Odareus Gates(Jackie) of Verona, MS. Her grandchildren: Janine White Westbrook(Van) of Tupelo, MS, Toni White Drummond of Tupelo, MS. Michael Loyd, Jr., Isaiah Loyd, and Jonas Loyd of Amory, MS. Cleveland White, Jr., and Tinizhu Gates of Okolona, MS, Daysha Gates of Verona, MS; April White Price(Roderick), Jamal White, Jimmy White(Kayla) of Katy, Texas and Javontae Randle of Dallas, TX; along with her great grandchildren: Aiden, Evie Ray, Kash, Kylie Karter, Jalin, Sirmyra, Jayden, and Josiah; one dear brother, Henry Conway(Shirley), Sister-in law, Toily Conway, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special in-laws.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Bro. Richard Proven Zano, Chairman. Burial will be Odd Fellow Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
