Obituary

Macon, Ga.--Dorothy Elaine Weeks Henton, 90, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in Macon, GA. Affectionately known as "Momma Dot", all of her dear friends will deeply miss her loving care and friendship, especially her "unmatchable brownies", which she shared with many. She was born January 18, 1922, to Willard Oscar and Ester Lee Weeks . During her lifetime, she resided first in Mississippi, then in Texas, back to Mississippi, and for the past six years in Macon, Ga. Coming from very humble beginnings, she personified love, kindness and dedication to her maker and all that she met. At the age of 20, on September 6, 1942, she was baptized in dedication to Jehovah, almost 70 years ago. Having worked 30+ years for the various owners of DELTA TROUSERS, she retired in 1987 to pursue her other interests.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Macon, GA at 1 pm, Saturday, June 30th. Another service for her Mississippi friends will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Highway 245 S, 504 S. Churc6h St. in Okolona at 2 pm Saturday, July 14, 2012. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

She is predeceased by her parents, and younger brother, Willard Wesley Weeks.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Roma Jean Weeks of Cary, NC, a son W. David (Susan) Henton of Macon, GA, a daughter Phoebe Elaine Warren of Tupelo; her four grandchildren, Sara Henton, Abra(Spencer) Morris, Tiffany(Brad)Norwood, Trey Warren; a great grandson Liam Morris and other nieces, nephews, cousins.
