Blue SpringsDoreen Annette Guin, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed safely in the arms of her Heavenly Father at Union Baptist Hospital in New Albany on October 6, 2013. A native of Adrian, Michigan, she was born February 17, 1956, to Louis Albert and Mary Ann Krutz. She had been a resident of tupelo since 1998 and worked for Cedars Health Care Center for the past 13 years as their CNA in The Shabaz Program. She truly loved her job and coworkers. She was a kind, sincere, and devoted woman whose smiling face brought joy to those she touched. She was a very caring and loving person with a big heart. She was an avid NASCAR fan, Mark Martin being her favorite driver. The most precious moments she enjoyed were those spent with her children and grandchildren. Doreen's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Through her gentle smile, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Services will be 2 pm Thursday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.W. Owen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
