Obituary

Dempsey Ray Wigginton, 75, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  He was born to Vonnie Demp Wigginton and Clara Maxine Cooper Wigginton on January 25, 1948, he was the oldest of 10 siblings. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing, and watching sports. His favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wigginton of 54 years; two children, Anthony Wigginton (Shelia) and Thea Wigginton Boone (C.O.); one grandchild, Tyler Ray Wigginton "Pretty Boy" whom he absolutely adored; three sisters, Sandra Williams (David), Sue Minor (Dwight), Sally Wigginton (Sam); and brothers, four brothers, Larry Wigginton (Gail), Joe Wigginton, Danny Wigginton, and Clifford Wigginton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Wigginton; and sister, Nancy Seymore.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Wood officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Sam McCurry, Ben Malagoli, Shane Wood, Jerry Wood, Stephen Pounds, Jay Ewing, Charlie Peter, Jonathan Peters, and Chris Russell.
