Mooreville - Carl David Jackson, 65, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1947 in Barren County, Kentucky to Paul and Wanda Jackson. He graduated from Temple Hill High School in 1965. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the H.B. Grant Masonic Lodge #610 in Etoile, KY. He was a member of Andrews Chapel Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent and was a Lay Speaker. He worked many years as a sales rep. for Lowe's and Riley Building Supply Company and was a farmer. He enjoyed watching westerns and football on tv and playing golf. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Services will be 2 PM Thursday at Andrews Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. Sammy Washburn and Bro. Robert McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jackson of Mooreville; three daughters, Tammy Jackson of Mooreville, Tracy Jackson Deckard (Scott) of Glasgow, KY and Tracy Taylor Brown (Bobby) of Saltillo; one son, Donnie Taylor (Tonya) of Saltillo; his mother, Wanda Jackson of Glasgow, KY; five sisters, Paulette Vance (George), Nancy Berryman (Allen), Vickie Jackson, Sharon Jackson and Phyllis McKinney (Stoney) all of Glasgow, KY; one brother Ernest Jackson (Charlene) of Glasgow, KY; eleven grandchildren, Erika, Nikki, Morgan, Austin, Hannah, Blake, Jade, Cheyenne, Kelli, Madison and Clayton; three great-grandchildren, Farah, Gunnar and Karsyn; one aunt Ernestine Amos of Radcliff, KY; one uncle Carl Jackson (Lu) of Louisville, KY; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter Christina Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Herman Hussey, Arthur Roy Reed, Leon Edwards, Kenneth Hussey, Greg Jackson, Andy Jackson, and Clifton Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Hoyle Lyle, Dan York, Paul Stroud, Matt Long, and Jimmy Hussey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Andrew Chapel Cemetery Fund. Visitation will be 4 - 8 Wednesday and 10 - 1 Thursday.
