SHANNON - William David Gordon, 66, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at his home. He was born June 14, 1949, in Cleveland to Walter and Mary Gordon. He graduated from Greenville High School, attended Mississippi Delta Junior College and earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Southern Illinois University. He served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an accomplished musician, playing in several bands over the years and doing some solo work. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and enjoyed camping and meeting and talking to people.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. David MacKain officiating. Private burial will follow. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gordon of Shannon; his children, Christopher (Angie) Gordon of Indianola, Jonathan (Stacey) Gordon of Shannon and Allison (Aubrey) Ford of Saltillo; his mother, Mary Gorden of Greenville; five grandchildren, Andrew, Natalie, Gabriel, Amber and Hunter.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert Eugene Gordon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
