Blountsville, AL - Dale Rademaker, 81, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Baldwin, WI on November 15, 1927 to William and Ella Rademaker and a former resident of Tupelo. He was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church and a devoted Christian husband and family man. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and had a reputation as a man of integrity, and as a master craftsman and carpenter. He loved singing hymns, Handel's Messiah and listening to acappella Christian music. He enjoyed spending leisure time gardening and tending flowers, and in his younger years, training horses and dogs.Services will be 2 PM Monday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Gunter officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bradshaw Rademaker of Blountsville, AL; three sons, Terry Rademaker of Anchorage, AL, Willie (Beth) Rademaker of Anchorage, AL and Tim (Linda) Rademaker of Phoenix, AR; three daughters, Mary Jo (Bill) Dawson of Prescott Valley, AZ, Ellen Politz of El Rancho, NM and Susan Stubnar of Big Springs, TX; two step-sons, DeVone Hobgood and Phillip Hobgood; one brother, Verne (Rachel) Rademaker of Oostburg, WI; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Alice; two sisters, Kathryn and Inez, one brother, Ray and a grandson, Jesse.Pallbearers will be James "Zeb" Rademaker, Tommy Rademaker, Aubrey Askew, Dwayne Hobgood, Rex McCay and Michael David Perkins.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beacon Hospice 1901 - C 2nd Avenue East Oneonta, AL 35121.Visitation will be 11 - 2 Monday.
