Vera Colleen Adamec, 86, of Tupelo, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2018 at the Cedars Traceway Green Houses.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo.  She raised three sons with her husband as a working mother in a variety of career positions before she retired in 1992.

Public visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from noon until 1:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo.  A funeral mass and burial will follow at 1:30 p.m.  Father Tim Murphy will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jerry Adamec; her parents John and Clara Eskridge, and James Reece; and her brother, Jerry Reece.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Stephen Adamec Sr.; sons, Stephen Adamec Jr. (Paula), and Mark Adamec Sr. (Terri); sister Maryleen Landers; grandchildren, Mark Adamec Jr., Stephen Adamec III, Hilary Adamec, William Adamec, and Nicholas Adamec; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that friends and relatives consider a donation to a worthy cause serving senior citizens such as Methodist Senior Services or the Alzheimer's Association.
