PONTOTOC - Christine Gordon, 80, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1930, in Belmont to John Henry and Dela Credille. She was a graduate of Belmont High School. She retired as an inspector from Daybrite Lighting after many years of service. She was a member of New Bethel Church of Christ in Belmont. She enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Credille and Rev. Ginger Holland officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Swayne and Pat Cruse (Mike), all of Pontotoc; one son, Donnie Hamm (JoAnne) of Pontotoc; one brother, Paul Credille (Linda) of Byhalia; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max Gordon; 11 brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Donnie Swayne.
Pallbearers will be Chad Hamm, Corey Cruse, Jason Horne, Chris Horne, Austin Snow, Reid Ray, Ryan Ray and Joey Putt.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
