Charles S. Kingsley, 89, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born November 11, 1925 in the Auburn Community to Robert Norman and Clara Mae Lamb Kingsley. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a medic during World War II. He retired from Bell South after 33 years of service and was a member of Auburn Baptist Church. He was a master mason and a member of Palmetto Lodge #152. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He was a master woodworker. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Auburn Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Henry and Bro. Tyson Curbow officiating. Private burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 69 years, Grace Kingsley of Tupelo; two sons, Ronald Kingsley (Ellen) of Knoxville, TN and Danny Kingsley (Stephanie) of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Tracye Mason (Bart), Angie Homan (Shane), Jonathan Kingsley (Carolyn) and Josh Kingsley (Ashley); nine great-grandchildren, Kaspar, Isaac, Daniel, Adam, Drew, Clara, Zach, Weston and Lila Grace.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Auburn Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 Tuesday and 10 - 11 Wednesday all at the church.
