VERONA - Carlos L. Fowler Jr., 70, died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at his home. He was born on Dec. 5, 1940, to Carlos and Early Dawn Fowler in Itawamba County. He was an auctioneer. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved spending his time working on cars and attending local auctions.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Westmorland officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four sons, Adam Fowler of Tennessee, Marty Fowler, Carlos L. (Renee) Fowler III and Ricky Fowler, all of Guntown; two daughters, Allison Parker of Rienzi and Becky (George) Winters of Guntown; one sister, Ruth Thorn of Nettleton; and a special nephew, John H. (Sherry) Fowler Jr. of Nettleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma; his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
