Obituary

TupeloCarl Lamb, 88, died Saturday January 4, 2014 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, he was born September 20, 1925 to Belton and Vera Stanford Lamb. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp during Word War II serving at Iwo Jima. He was a retired lineman for the city of Tupelo and a member of East Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Services will be 2 pm Tuesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include his son, Robert Lamb (Debra) of Tupelo; a brother, Clyde Lamb of Belle Glade, FL; two granddaughters, Marsh McNail (Brian) of Columbia and Gina Aucoin (Chris) of Baton Rouge, LA; and three great-grandchildren, Farris McNail, Jason Blanchard and Reagan Blanchard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 57 years, Joyce Lamb.

Pallbearers will be Larry Lamb, Mitchell Cannon, Rex Moody, Scott Tallant, Darell Rankin and Chris Aucoin.

Visitation will be 12-2 on Tuesday.
