Master Sergeant Brooks L. Gory, Retired, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the North MS Medical Center after an extended illness.  He was 89.  He was born November 23, 1928, the son of Norbin and Dolly Clayton Gory.  Brooks proudly served 22 years in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1973.  A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, farming, working in his yard, and gardening.  He also loved playing the harmonica.

Services with military honors will be 11 AM Saturday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with his grandson, Bro. Drew England and Bro. Mark Hoover officiating.  Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Ann Gory of Plantersville;  2 children, Kenneth Gory of Plantersville and Susan Brooks (Terry) of the Auburn Community; 2 brothers, Johnny Gor y (Betty) and Bobby Gory (Linda); his sister, Martha Clayton (Allen); 6 grandchildren, Micah Gory, Nicole Gory, Paige Lyle, Drew England, Colton Brooks and Anna Brooks; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
