Bobby Joe Card, Sr. passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the North MS Medical Center. He was born in Clarksdale to Billie Reid and Josie Dell Card on February 15, 1956. He grew up in Sumner, MS and lived most of his life there. He served in the Mississippi Army National Guard as a Staff Sargent. He worked as a maintenance manager for Tecumseh Products and retired as a security guard. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids when he could.

He is survived by his children, Bobby Card (Amy) of Grant, Alabama, Brandon Card (Lindsay) of Ft. Edward, New York and Brett Card of Aberdeen; two brothers, David Card (Linda) and Dewaine Card (Leslie); 7 grandchildren, Tyler Card, Anna Card, Jacob Card, Owen Card, Cadence Card, Nora Card and Lola Card; one great-grandchild, Luka Parsons; also, nephew Donny Card and niece Candi Card.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie R.  and Josie D. Card and his grandfather, Andrew Card and Grandmother, Lola Card.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
