Robert Fitzgerald (Bobby) Bratton departed this life on June 22, 2018 to be with his Heavenly Father after 17 years of battling brain cancer. Bobby was born January 11, 1971. He attended ICC where he spent 2 years in Kaleidoscope and was a member of the tennis team. He then went on to Mississippi State University where he earned a degree in Business Administration; so naturally, Bobby was a huge Bull Dogs fan. He also was an avid bowler and body builder. He was the biggest supporter of his 3 sons and 2 granddaughters as they participated in sports and a great supporter of TCPS Athletics. Bobby was a fighter and survivor. A devoted Christian example of a believer who lives his faith, he was a wonderful son, father, grandfather, and uncle.
Services will be 11 AM Monday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor John Davis officiating. Entombment will be in Lee Memorial Park Mausoleum. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Those left to remember his love, kindness and sense of humor include his children, Chris Lewis (Alison), A. J. Bratton, and Spencer Bratton; his brothers, Bill Ethridge (Renea), Michael Ethridge (Brenda), and Scotty Ethridge (Jenni); his mother, Janice Dickerson Woodard; his father, Butch Bratton (Carlan); his grandchildren, Kylee and Izzy Lewis; and special friends, Terri B. Dickerson, Sr.; a cousin, Ben Bratton; his uncle, Al Bratton; and Mrs. And Mrs. Billy Grant; and his namesake, Robert Fitzgerald, who was killed in WWII on the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor. He was loved by all his numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Bill Dickerson, Phil Bridges, Barry Bratton, Will Lowery, Clay Knight, Nick Jones Stephen Hood and Aubrey Boren. Donnie Bridges will serve as honorary pallbearer.
