Saltillo -Billy Gene Tutor, 76, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born August 19, 1933, in Springville, MSto Vester and Maudie Tutor. He was a self employed truck driver for 25 years. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, hunting and riding motorcycles. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy Foley officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park with Military Honors.Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Tutor of Saltillo; one son, Billy A. Tutor (life partner Mike) of Nashville, TN; three daughters, Nancy C. (Wayne) Frideres of Guntown, Tammy J. (Samuel) Steele of Saltillo and Tina M. Tutor (Wayne) Parker of Saltillo; two brothers, Wade Tutor and Bobby Tutor; one sister, Judy Tutor; two nieces, Patti King andBecky King; one great niece, India King; three great nephews, Russ Rakestraw, Reed Allen and Cain Allen;two grandchildren, Madison and Michael Steele; four step-grandchildren, Brandon Frideres, Jon Frideres, Andrew Parker and Cory Parker; three step-great-grandchildren, B.J. Frideres, Alex Frideres and Deanna Frideres.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Mae King; one niece, Teresa Rakestraw McKissack.Pallbearers will be Charlie Brigman, Ronnie Burcham, Russ Rakestraw, Cecil Simmons, Timmy Simmons and Rick Underwood.Honorary Pallbearers are Andy Andresen, Carlton "Joe" Beasley, Talmadge Stegall and Gary PoeVisitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
