Tupelo--Billy D. Scott, 73, died August 6, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1938, to Coker Eugen and Veela Mae Scott in Tishomingo, He was a member off Bissell Baptist Church. he was a truck driver and in the National Guard. He enjoyed his garden and will always be remembered for his colorful stories about his childhood and his love for all things southern He and his brother,, Bobby, were an infamous pair as children and lovingly suffered each other into adulthood.

Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro Earl Barron officiating., Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife Mildred Scott of Tupelo; his children, Stacy Scott (Leslie) of Sherman, Krista Scott of Sherman, Geri Moyer (Larry) of Tupelo and Danny Rayburn of Tupelo; his brother, Bobby Scott (Marta) of Guntown; his sister, Sue Alred (Carl) of Evergreen; nine grandchildren, Ty Scott, Eli Scott, Owen Scott, McKenzie Jones, Lily Jones, Eric Smith, Kim Terry, Nathan Jones, and Madison Jones; his great-granddaughter, Brittany (Dylan) Scalf; and his great-great-grandchild, Logan Scalf.

He is precedence in death by his parents, a brother, Claude Scott, and sister Patricia Scott, and a granddaughter, Emma Katherine Scott.

Pallbearers will be Ty Scott, Barry Martinez, Mikey Scott, Mike Scott, Eli Scott, Bob Scott, Doug Arnold and Casey Hendrix. Honorary Pallbearers will be Own Scott, Nathan Jones, Dylan Scalf, Logan Scalf and Eric Smith

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. to service time Monday.
