Billy Ray Redden, 73 of Baldwyn, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a sudden illness. He was born in Round Lake, MS and was the son of Evans Redden and Susie Edward Redden. He worked as a fuelman for 25 years at Union Camp/ International Paper before retiring. He was an avid fisherman and hunter in North Carolina and Mississippi. He was a proud member of Hazelton, Sand Banks, and White Oaks hunting clubs in North Carolina. He loved to garden and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with his family, friends, and neighbors.
He was a "LOVER" of all animals and leaves behind his fur babies, Bebe, Gizzy, Lacey, Jason, and the ones that met him at the Rainbow Bridge.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara Redden; brothers, Jerry Redden (Sara) of Sherman and Roger Redden (Edith) of Palmetto; sisters, Margie Redden Hamblin of Pratts and Debbie Redden Tarwaters of Fulton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Patton (Tyann), Steve Patton (Beverly), Danny Patton (Tammy) of Suffolk, VA, Gary Patton (Cindy) of Richmond, VA, and Timmy Patton (Chris Vesce) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Frances Murphy and Betty Hall; brothers, Jim Redden, Danny Redden, John Wayne Redden, and Lee Redden.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, October 13, 2023 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Friday with Bro Titus Tyer officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jason Redden, James Redden, Danny Sanders, David Sanders, Jamie Williams, Jimmy Gumm, Cass Stegall. Honorary pallbearers will be John Stegall and Ryan Derby.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Tupelo Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
