Tupelo - Billy C. Boone, 82, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at Avonlea. He was born April 8, 1931 in Nettleton to Royce and Virginia Boone. He was a graduate of Shannon High School. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked many years as an electrician for TVA and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a current member of Cross Pointe Ministries and a past member of Nettleton First Baptist Church and Harrisburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and loved his dog, Pebbles. He, with his wife Judy, enjoyed metal detecting and fishing.

Services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Cross Pointe Ministries with Dr. Kevin Rea and Bro. Reggie Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Boone of Tupelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 47 years, Judy Bickerstaff Boone and a half-brother, Dennis Trammell.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Lovvorn, Marvin Fairley, Brad Heberling, Robert Trice, Jimmy Ward and Ron Cottom. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Page, Guy Lindsey, Louie Mullins, Lonnie Rea and Nate Stone.

Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House or the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation will be 11 - 1 Wednesday at the church.
