Betty Jean Armstrong, 83, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her home in Pontotoc. She was born January 21, 1943, to Houston and Maggie Hazel Hester. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Okolona. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Most of all she loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her children, Tanya Trocha (Brian) of Guntown and Ray Armstrong (Stacey) of Grenada; five grandchildren, Chad Armstrong, Zach Armstrong, Haley Henson, Jacob McCrory, and Samuel McCrory; seven great grandchildren, Hudson McCrory, Houston McCrory, Hatti G. McCrory, Harper Cantrell, Carter Armstrong, Whitley Armstrong, and Lila Henson; brothers, Bobby Hester (Connie); and sister, Donna Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Armstrong; her parents; sister, Peggy Hester; and brother, Tommy Hester.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home with Donald Ray Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brad Hester, Toby Hester, Chad Armstrong, Zach Armstrong, Donald Ray Jacobs, Jacob McCrory, Samuel McCrory, and Logan Henson.
