Fulton - Benjamin "Ben" F. Gilmore, 74, died Tuesday, March 03, 2009 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born March 27, 1934 in Yazoo County to Benjamin and Nellie Gilmore. He was a small engine mechanic and a Baptist. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family. His greatest pleasure was being a Good Samaritan, by helping others whenever possible.Services will be 2 P.M. Saturday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Martha Ann Gilmore of Fulton; two sons, Kevin Gilmore of Brandon and Jeff Gilmore of Fulton; two sisters, Frankie Collins of Yazoo City and Nellie Louise Burks of St. Claire, MO; six grandchildren, Brandi Smith, Dylan Gilmore, Lasinda Gilmore, Ashley Gilmore, Jacqueline Gilmore and Bradley Gilmore; two great-grandchildren, Dakota Smith and Peyton Smith.He was preceded in death by his parents, four sons, Bobby Joe Gilmore, Charles Earl Gilmore, George Hannah Gilmore and Johnny Gilmore; three brothers, Howard Gilmore, Edward (Ed) Gilmore and George Gilmore; one sister, Clara Henson.Visitation will be 1 P.M. until service time Saturday.click here.
