Eggville CommunityBarton Joseph Carter, 58, passed away Sunday, September 03, 2017 at his home in Eggville. He was born February 4, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN to Frank Carter and Bertha Davis McClarney. Barton was the vice president of a millwork company for many years. He and his wife Debra have lived in Lee County since 2008. An avid history buff, Barton enjoyed researching Indiana high School Basketball.

Bart leaves behind his wife of 9 years, Debra Carter of the Eggville Community; 3 daughters, Jennifer Carter, Rebecca Shirley, and Summer Cook (Jeff); 2 sons, Cameron Carter and Calvin Shirley (Rashelle); a brother, Bradley Carter (Cathy); and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brian Carter.

While no formal services will be held family and friends may leave condolences at this guest book. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
