ShannonBarbara Ann Isbell, 79, died Thursday March 21, 2013, at her daughter's home in Russellville, Ark. She was born September 25, 1933, to Clifford and Cleo King. She grew up in the Birmingham Ridge community and graduated from Saltillo High School. After she married George H. Isbell, Jr. they moved to Jackson where they raised their family. In 1994, she returned to Lee County and lived in Shannon until her health began to decline. She then moved to Russellville, Ark. She was a member of Shannon's First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, cooking and reading. Her life was spent devoted to her family and taking care of them,
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with John Box officiating, Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her two daughters, Debra Isbell of Russellville, Ark. and Shelia Jones (Wayne) of Melbourne, Australia; and her grandson, George Curtis Hayes (Marnie) of Tacoma, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who died Oct. 11, 1999; a sister, Itasca Grubbs; and two brothers, John H. King and Herman King.
Pallbearers will be Joey McCord, Donnie Pickens, Mike Filgo, George Hayes, Jerry King, Randy Dowd, and Wayne Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tucker Vaughan, Brooks Vaughan, John Priest, and Tillman Sullivan.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
