Agnes Ann Herndon, 84, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Lakewood Nursing Home. She was born July 30, 1932 in Prentiss County to John and Annie Mae Bearden West. She was a homemaker and a member of Verona, First Baptist Church. She married James "Boots" Herndon and they were longtime residents of Verona. In their later years, they moved to Flowood to be near their family but, Brewer and Verona were always home to Boots and Agnes.
Services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Scott officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum. Visitation will be 11 - 1 Wednesday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements,
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Johnson (Paul) of Brandon; one son-in-law, Bobby Hall of Tupelo; one sister, Jane Stacy of Brewer; two grandchildren, Deanne New (Kris) and Vance Johnson (Bethany); three great-grandchildren, Harlee Johnson, Catelynn New and Johnson New.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lee "Boots" Herndon; and one daughter, Janet Herndon Hall.
Pallbearers will be John Gamble, Larry Gamble, Kris New, Bobby Hall, Harold West and Lamar Stacy.
